Organisers of the Coalition of La youth earlier today clashed with the Ghana police over the protest route during the demonstration.
The protesters engaged in a heated argument with the police over marching to an area near Burma Camp.
The police said they couldn’t guarantee the safety of protesters if they had used that route.
This, the protesters disagreed to saying they were not planning to march to the area around Burma Camp in the first place.
The demonstration, according to the organisers, aimed to fight against the sale of state lands in the Greater Accra Region.

They alleged that the owners of the La Beach Hotel, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, and Trade Fair lands have all not received the necessary compensation.
They also raised concerns over the Prisons Service lands at Cantonments.
