Ghanaian high jumper Rose Yeboah made a valiant effort in her debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Competing in a packed stadium, she cleared 1.88 meters but fell short of the 1.92-meter mark needed to advance. Despite her best attempts, she couldn’t join the final 12 athletes, ranking 14th overall.

Yeboah joined Poland’s Zodzik Maria and Greece’s Dosi Panagiota in exiting the competition. Her performance marks the second time a Ghanaian athlete has been eliminated from their event at these Games, following Harry Stacey’s seventh-place finish in the men’s 100m freestyle.
Though Yeboah missed the finals, her effort is commendable. Let’s continue to support and invest in her promising career.
