A new four-classroom Kindergarten (KG) block with ancillary facilities has been constructed and finally inaugurated at Madina in Accra.
The KG block was handed over to the Ghana Education Service (GES) by the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMA) last week.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of LaNMA, Jennifer Dede Adjabeng during the inauguration ceremony called on the school authorities and the entire Madina community to properly manage the facility and ensure it serves its intended purpose.
She said the facility would provide a safe haven where children could play, learn, explore and grow. Adding that, the new KG block would also be an environment where children’s curiosity and creativity would be nurtured.
Receiving the facility on behalf of the education directorate, the education director of LaNMA, Kean Adjei Appiah, praised the assembly for their continuous effort to provide education facilities to promote effective teaching and learning.
He also advised teachers and caregivers to see the facility as a place where children felt safe, valued and inspired to learn in the municipality.
The new KG Block equipped with modern technology would be for the Madina Municipal Assembly Number ‘1’ cluster of schools.
