In an effort to restore the prestigious Security Service Sports Association (SESSA) Games, an organizing committee has been formed to oversee its revival. The SESSA Games, once a cornerstone of sports among security agencies in Ghana, were relaunched today at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate Conference Room after being dormant for 10 years.

This year’s SESSA Athletics Open Championship is set to take place from November 2nd to 3rd, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. The event promises to reignite competitive sports among the nation’s security services.
The organizing team includes notable members such as the President of Ghana Athletics, representatives from the UG Sports Directorate, top officials from all the security services, and a respected sports journalist. Their collaboration aims to ensure the successful return of this celebrated event.
The relaunch signals a renewed commitment to fostering unity, discipline, and sportsmanship through athletics.
