In a landmark ruling by the Accra High Court, six individuals, including three members of the Ghana Armed Forces, have been handed the death penalty for their roles in an attempt to destabilize the government. Among the condemned are a local blacksmith known as Ezor and a fleet manager, both convicted of conspiracy and treason charges. Additionally, a civilian employee of the military faced conviction for plotting against the state.

The court also delivered its verdict on three soldiers, finding them guilty of conspiring to commit high treason. In contrast, two high-ranking security officers and another soldier were cleared of all charges. The panel of judges determined that there was insufficient evidence to convict Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli, ACP Dr. Benjamin Agordzo, and Corporal Seidu Abubakar, leading to their acquittal.
