The third edition of the highly anticipated Tariq Lamptey U-15 tournament is set for Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the McDan Astro Turf La Community Park in Accra.
This event is a significant part of Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey’s philanthropic efforts to give back to society, acknowledging the immense support received from Ghanaians throughout his football career.
Tariq Lamptey has promised an elevated experience for this year’s tournament, with medical professionals expected to provide health screenings for participants and La Community residents. Tema Legends hold the title as the reigning champions, having triumphed over Ahosa FC in the previous edition, earning a substantial trophy, GHS 4000, and two GOTV decoders with 6 months’ subscription. Lamptey has pledged an increase in the prize money for the upcoming event.
The Tariq Lamptey Foundation is the primary funder of the tournament, receiving support from sponsors such as Remit Choice, Permafix, Access Bank, Multichoice, Samsung, Adidas, Nest Urban Prime, Ansah Pharma, Asutuare Poultry Farms, and Alpay.
