Training Commences Today: Black Stars Prepare for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

The Black Stars are scheduled for their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium later today, gearing up for their debut matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Ghana is set to face Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on November 17 and then travel to play against Comoros on November 21 at the Stade de Moroni.

The team reported to camp in Accra on Monday, with 15 players currently in attendance. An additional 10 players are anticipated to join their teammates later today. Behind closed doors, the team will conduct their training precisely at 16:00 GMT before flying to Kumasi on Wednesday to further prepare for the upcoming games.

Among the players currently in camp are Joseph Paintsil, Baba Iddrisu, Denis Odoi, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu, Nicholas Opoku, Osman Bukari, Majeed Ashimeru, Jordan Ayew, Edmund Addo, Andre Ayew, Jonathan Sowah, Gideon Mensah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, and Joseph Wollacott.
