Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has donated $10,000 to Hasaacas Ladies FC to aid their preparation for the WAFU Zone B Women’s CAF Champions League Qualifiers.
The donation was presented today at Oak Plaza by Tamimu Issah, Head of Communications at the Vice President’s Office. Issah conveyed Dr. Bawumia’s strong support for women’s football, recalling a previous donation when Hasaacas first qualified for the CAF Champions League zonal championship in Ivory Coast.

Issah highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s consistent support for Ghanaian women’s football, mentioning similar aid to Ampem Darkoa Ladies. He extended the Vice President’s congratulations to Hasaacas Ladies for their league victory and qualification for the upcoming championship in Côte d’Ivoire.
“The Vice President has been a strong supporter of female football,” Issah stated. “He congratulated them publicly for winning the league and qualifying once again to the championship and said he was looking forward to meeting them ahead of the competition.”
Hasaacas Ladies’ management and players expressed their gratitude for the donation. The team, five-time Ghana women’s champions, is set to compete in Group B against Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle, Nigeria’s Edo Queens, and Niger’s AS Garde National.
