Ghana’s coach, Chris Hughton, expressed frustration after their 2-2 draw with Egypt in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Despite leading twice, Ghana couldn’t secure the win, leaving Hughton disappointed.

“We’ll keep fighting,” he affirmed, acknowledging the frustration in the locker room.

Hughton believes his team deserved more and attributed the draw to two critical errors, lamenting the missed opportunity for three points.

Winger Osman, who struggled in the game, was substituted for Inaki Williams in the second half. Even though Williams made a mistake leading to Egypt’s goal, Osman’s similar error led to his substitution.

Hughton, while expressing love for Osman, explained the decision was necessary to prevent his mistakes from impacting performance.

Looking forward to their next match against Mozambique, Hughton recognizes the need for a victory to advance in the tournament.

He acknowledges the challenge but expresses confidence in his team’s capability, emphasizing that there are no small teams in Africa. Hughton remains optimistic about pursuing their dream with a determined mindset.
