The Ghana Premier League will be broadcasted on a number of free-to-air channels this weekend as the nation’s top flight league returns on matchday one after the long off-season break.
The free-to-air channels that will be showing the matches this weekend are Metro TV, Net 2 TV, Original TV, AFA TV and Globe TV.

Metro TV with commentary in English and Net 2 TV with Twi commentary will both show the blockbuster opening battle between defending champions, Samartex 1996 FC and last season’s CAF confederation cup semi-finalists, Dreams FC at 3pm live from the Accra Sports Stadium.
Both stations will also broadcast live Accra Hearts of Oak against the newly promoted side, Basake Holy Stars same time tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium.
AFA TV with English commentary and Original TV with commentary in Twi will broadcast live the opening fixture between newly promoted Vision FC and Berekum Chelsea at the Nii Kraku II Sports Complex, today at 3pm local time.
Asante Kotoko’s trip to Nalerigu to face off Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Center, will be live on Globe TV at 3pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

This moves comes after last season’s broadcast right holders, StarTimes opted out from broadcasting the premier league on its paid satellite television channel, StarTimes Adepa.
