This move has become necessary due to ongoing renovation works inside the main chamber of parliament house.
At a cost of €2.26 million, the House’s main chamber is being renovated to improve the conference system and electronic equipment.
All of the chairs and equipment in the chamber have been removed to make room for an upgrade to the conference system.
Cameras will be installed as part of the new features, and a cable will be run from the control room into the video production system so that journalists may access their feeds.
Parliament had previously held an important meeting on September 2, 2024, at the Dome, where it agreed on a $250 million loan agreement from the World Bank to support Ghana’s Energy Sector Recovery Programme.
