Some customers of Dek-Nock Investment gathered in front of the Nungua branch to demand for their cash.
This comes after the Bank of Ghana (BoG) together with the Ghana Police Service, closed down the office for conducting operations without a proper a license.
Scores of cusomers were seen outside the branch shouting and demanding for their cash and investments to be reimbursed on Friday.
The Bank of Ghana had earlier requested that all customers of Dek-Nock Investments remain calm for investigations to be conducted.
A statement released by the Central Bank said the company was found to be involved in unauthorized deposit-taking practices contrary to Section 6(1) of Act 930.
The closure is in line with Section (20)(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialized deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930), which prohibits unathorized financial activities and seeks to protect the interest of depositors and uphold integrity of teh financial system.
Customers have been advised to be patient as the Ghana Police Service conducts further inquiries into the operations of Dek-Nock Investements.
