Yaw Harrison, an electrician and father of two children has allegedly met his untimely death at the Dodowa DOVVSU division of the Ghana Police.
Harrison, according to the wife, was accused by a neighbor for stealing GHS3,500, bread and attempting to rape a 12-year-old girl, and was arrested by the Dodowa Police.
The neighbor had apparently gone to an all-night service on the night of the incident.
Harrison was suspected because the 12-year-old girl said the trouser he wore on the day of his arrest was similar to that of the thief.
Harrison reportedly suffered from high blood pressure and was granted bail days three after his arrest.
He later collapsed at the Dodowa DOVVSU division of the Ghana Police when he went to report and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His wife, Vicentia Aboagyewaa, has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), President Nana Akufo-Addo, and the general public to assist her in demanding justice for the late husband.
