A new vision for Ghana’s economic future was unveiled by Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, during a virtual launch of his manifesto, “The 12 Pillars of Economic Freedom”.
Bediako presented a comprehensive plan to industrialize all 16 regions of Ghana, with a focus on transforming the Western Region into the “Texas of Africa” by leveraging its rich natural resources.
Bediako emphasized the need to shift Ghana’s economic focus from imports to exports, proposing the construction of refineries and increased production of petrochemicals locally.

He highlighted the potential benefits of refining Ghana’s 200,000 barrels of oil per day domestically, including job creation and reduced dependency on foreign markets. Bediako’s plan aims to strengthen the national economy, mitigate inflation, and promote economic growth through industrialization.
