The Odorkor Christ Reminders New Church last weekend donated some items totaling about GHS10,000 to the Weija Leprosarium in Accra.
The church also donated a cash of GHS2,000 in addition to the items which included liquid soap, disinfectants, cooking oil, gari, water, sugar and rice.
Senior Pastor of the church, Frederick Koi Apraku, who presented the items on behalf of the church said the church was moved by the call made by Reverend Father Andrew Campbell to support the Leprosarium.
Pastor Apraku explained that it was an obligation for Christians to help the poor, the needy and the less-privileged in society.

He urged the public to stop discriminating against lepers saying “you will not be infected with leprosy when you associate yourself or touch a person who has the disease.”
Representatives of the leprosarium thanked the church for the donations, and appealed to corporate bodies and individuals to support them.
