Former GFA Executive Council member Sammy Anim Addo has fervently advocated for Mathew Anim Cudjoe’s inclusion in the Black Stars squad, likening him to West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus.
Anim Cudjoe, 21, gained recognition with Asante Kotoko at just 16 and has represented Ghana at various youth levels, including the U-20 team. However, his career has stalled since joining Scottish side Dundee United, where he is now a free agent. Despite this, Anim Addo, who is also Cudjoe’s agent, insists that Cudjoe has skills comparable to Kudus, known for his dribbling and fearlessness.

Speaking to Love FM, Anim Addo stated, “If you look at Mohammed Kudus in the Black Stars, my son is the only one in Ghana who has those qualities that Kudus possesses. If we give Mathew the opportunity and he gets the right environment, he should be in the Black Stars team. The day Kudus is not sparkling for Ghana and needs to be substituted, Mathew is the player we should be thinking of.”
