The Ghana Black Stars will be granted a $700,000 consolation prize for securing the third position in Group B during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Despite not advancing to the knockout stage, their performance contributed to a portion of the $34.6 million prize pool. Teams finishing at the bottom of their groups will each receive $500,000, while those exiting at the round of 16 will be awarded $800,000 each.
The overall winner of the competition is poised to take home $7 million, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024. This distribution highlights a competitive prize pool relative to other major international tournaments in 2024.
