The talented midfielder has previously had trials with clubs like RC Lens and RB Leipzig. Chelsea, who have been monitoring him, are now giving him a closer look.

Fatawu impressed in a recent friendly between Chelsea and Sheffield United, which ended 1-1. The 16-year-old, who currently plays for AS Koppan in Ghana, rose to prominence after an impressive showing with Red Bull Salzburg’s youth team in Brazil. He also played a key role in Ghana’s U16 team winning the UEFA Youth Championship in Serbia, catching Chelsea’s attention.
Fatawu’s management, Louis Bell, Fa Sport, is evaluating the best move for him. If the trial goes well, he could join Chelsea’s partner club Strasbourg in France.
