He noted that over the years, research indicating that many females stayed at home during their monthly period had been brought to the organization’s attention.
He explained that the charity chose to sponsor girls in order to help them attend school consistently.
According to Mr. Botchway, the organisation started “Project Four G” last year with the goals of getting a pad, getting an education, and giving life to the girl child.
The Hands of Gold Foundation, he added, appreciated and acknowledged each person’s needs in terms of their integrity, individuality, dignity, and freedom of choice, with a primary focus on women and children.
“As part of our outreach, here we are with this donation,” he said, adding that although the schools were in an urban area, there were a lot of disadvantaged students.”
The Headmistress of the Labone SHS, Rejoice Akua Acolo, thanked the NGO for its assistance after accepting the goods on behalf of the students.
The things would help the girls stay in school, she said.
