The Office of the President (OOP), Jubilee House has denied any involvement in the allegations of encroachment of Ghana International School (GIS) land in Cantonments, Accra.
A statement released by the Office today, September 5, 2024, said the Presidency is not in any way involved in the alleged land dispute.

The statement said the Office of the President has no interest in the piece of land whatsoever, and denied that it acted the through the Head of the VVIP unit to interfere in the matter.
However, the statement added that “the said Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Opoku of the VVIP unit of the OOP only did his professionals duty by handling over encroachers and suspects to the police when he chanced upon an altercation at the Cantonments barrier on his way from work.”

The Office of the President has therefore made a formal complaint to the Inspector General of Police to investigate the case, according to the statement.
