Accra, July 28, GNA – Ghana’s acting gem, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, has won three awards at the 2024 Imo International Film Festival with his movie “A Country Called Ghana”. The movie, which debuted in May 2024, won the Best Production Design and the Best Make-Up Film at the highly-rated festival held in Nigeria. Ramsey Nouah, the lead actor in the movie, won the Best Actor category for his sensational performance in one of Ghana’s biggest movies this year. The film received 10 nominations, with Lilwin getting a nod for Best Supporting Actor.

In a Facebook post, Lilwin expressed his gratitude to all the crew members who contributed to the film’s success, especially given the high ratings it has received. He congratulated everyone involved, including Weezy Empire, the crew, and the cast, and thanked all supporters of the project. Additionally, “A Country Called Ghana” has received a nomination at the Nollywood Film Festival Germany, set to take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
