Following the horrific accident at East Legon that killed two little children, Kofi Amoah, a social worker, has reported having trouble sleeping.
As a father of a 15-year-old daughter, he claims that the accident still haunts him.
Amoah made these comments on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem following the controversies involving Elrad Salifu Amoako, the suspected driver, and his whereabouts.
“I have a 15-year-old child. Two children have been burnt to death. I cannot sleep; this thing is haunting me. The police should just come and clarify where the boy is because I have visited the facility, and anybody who can challenge me should come out.
“I didn’t go there to ask about Salifu Amoako’s son. I only went there on a fact-finding mission. I’m not pursuing any interest, but I just want the police to come out with the facts,” he stated.

The 16-year-old, the son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, was placed under remand by an Accra juvenile court on Friday in the wake of the October 12 disaster.
The court also ordered the seizure of his American and Ghanaian passports to prevent any possibility of him fleeing.
Amoah contested the police’s claim that Elrad was being held at the Osu Correctional Center, arguing that he should have been at the Boys Remand Home.
A Facebook post under the alias EmpressPapa A-Amigos said when he visited the facility there was no Elrad there.

Police have, however, declared these allegations to be untrue and issued a warning that disseminating such false information is illegal in accordance with Section 208 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
As a result, he is presently being hunted down to face justice.
Though he claims he has no issues with the Ghana Police, Mr. Amoah has expressed suspicions about the matter.

He said he has helped the police on multiple occasions in carrying out their duty and that he is willing to appear in court or anywhere else as long as the victims and their families receive justice.
In connection with the collision, Elrad is being charged with significant offenses such as manslaughter, recklessly inflicting injury, risky driving, and driving without a license.
