A man has today been arrested for defending a Domino’s Pizza delivery rider involved in an accident on the Sunkwa Road in Osu.
He was driving a small Toyota car on the same road when the accident happened.
The delivery rider was coming from the MTN office road and was hit by a convertible sports car allegedly driven by a police officer just at the intersection of the two roads.
The delivery guy fell hard on the road and his motorbike’s brake was damaged.
According to eyewitnesses, the alleged police officer blamed the delivery rider for entering the main road without caution.

Upon seeing this, the man driving the small Toyota car behind the convertible sports car got down to confront the driver about the accident for over-speeding.
In his bid to defend the delivery rider, the situation escalated into a fight and the man was arrested by the alleged police officer.
He was taken into the convertible sports car which drove off on the road leading to the National Police Headquarters and the Cantonment police station.

The delivery rider after the accident said it was no fault of his.
“I had almost crossed the road, he[the alleged police officer] was speeding, so he hit the back of my motorbike because he didn’t see me entering the main road.”
His colleague riders later followed the convertible sports car.
