The man who threatened to harm and shoot some public officials in a viral video has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
Police say the suspect Ibrahim Mohammed also known as Kanawu was arrested yesterday, September 11, 2024.

Mohammed was declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service on Monday, September 9, 2024, after a video of him issuing threats to a number of public officials, including the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Madam Jean Mensah, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Akuffo Dampare and many others went viral on social media.

A bounty of GHS50,000 was placed on him.
“A reward of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS 50,000.00) has been earmarked for anyone who is able to share relevant and credible information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect,” a police statement on Monday, September 9, 2024, promised.
“He is currently in Police custody and will be taken through the due process of the law,” a new police statement confirming his arrest yesterday stated.
