The Ghana Armed Forces recently celebrated the graduation of 393 recruits from their Army Recruit Mobile Training Team. After six months of rigorous training in the Basic Infantry Training Course (BITC 4/2023), the ceremony took place at the Nutekpor Naval Training Command near Sogakope in the Volta Region. The group included 78 women who all satisfied the stringent criteria of medical and physical fitness, robustness, discipline, and mental toughness.
During the event, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, the Deputy Chief Staff Officer for Operations and Training at Army Headquarters, addressed the new soldiers. He emphasized the importance of professionalism in their duties and warned against engaging in unauthorized activities like partisan politics, land guarding, and the misuse of military uniforms. He stressed that maintaining focus on their career goals is crucial for their future as soldiers.
