Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently disclosed that the club hasn’t yet determined when Thomas Partey will be released for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, saying, “There are some talks between the clubs and the federations. We haven’t decided when is best.”
The tournament kicks off on January 13, 2024, and Ghana’s first match is slated for January 14. Despite Partey’s return to training following a hamstring injury that kept him out for two months, uncertainty lingers over his joining the Ghanaian squad.

Ghana’s preparations commence on December 31, 2023,Kumasi, with hopes that Partey will be available for selection during the tournament. However, the precise timing of his release from Arsenal remains unclear.
The Ghana Black Stars are determined to perform well in the AFCON 2023, eyeing the trophy that has evaded them for four decades. They face Cape Verde on January 14, Egypt on January 18, and Mozambique on January 22, 2024, in the group stage.
