The Okada Riders Association of Ghana have pledged their support to John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in this year’s general elections slated for December 7.

This was disclosed by the public relations officer (PRO) of the association, Solomom Akpanaba, in an interview on Accra-based GHONE TV.

Responding to a question by the host, Serwaa Amihere, on whether the association is in support of the NDC presidential candidate, Akpanaba said that members of the association are fully in support of John Dramani Mahama.

“Yes of course, we are solidly behind the NDC and we are campaigning for them,” he stated adding that all members of the association are of the same sentiment.

Explaining the decision, the PRO said that this is because the other political parties do not want to engage them.

“Other parties don’t want us to come closer to them, and it is clear in their manifestos and day-to-day activities with the ordinary Ghanaian.

“You can see that it is only NDC which is consistent with policies that include our survival, concerns and activities as Ghanaians. They always include us in everything they do unlike other political parties,” he added.
