The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has imposed a GH₵100,000 fine on Real Tamale United FC (RTU FC) for conduct that tarnished the sport’s reputation, violating Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations as reported by the ghanafa
The Committee determined that during Matchday 28 against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams, RTU FC deliberately deceived match officials by using unregistered players who impersonated officially registered players.

RTU FC admitted to the charges and requested leniency, explaining in their defense that they faced a challenging situation as their registered players refused to travel. They argued that their actions were intended to mitigate the club’s difficulties.
In its decision, the GFA Disciplinary Committee found RTU FC guilty and fined the club for misconduct. Additionally, RTU FC officials involved in the match—Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, Tanko Jentumah, and Sylvester Yaw Apanka—received one-year bans from all football-related activities, effective immediately.
