The Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched an administrative investigation into the tragic death of Edward Sackey, a final-year student at O’Reilly Senior High School.
The GES aims to conclude the investigation within two weeks, as stated by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the head of the GES public relations unit.
The GES expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the family, friends, and school community of the deceased.
On September 4, 2024, the Director-General of the GES visited the school and the bereaved family to offer support.
The GES emphasized its commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment and stated that both administrative and criminal investigations were underway.
