An accident on the Accra-Tema Motorway claimed the life of the driver of a Sprinter bus with registration number GT 4867-13.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, early in the morning, the regrettable incident happened.
The driver, 42-year-old Isaac Atsu Hanu, was identified as the deceased, and many passengers suffered injuries of varying severity.

The bus was carrying people to Lapaz from Tema Adjei Kojo Underbridge.
Louis Djamgma, one of the passengers, told Ohene Amponsah of Adom News that the driver lost control while trying to avoid potholes on the route.
Unfortunately, he veered off the road and collided with a nearby bush after losing control when crossing the median to the opposite lane.

Survivor Godwin Sarbah, the driver’s mate, described hearing the cries of the passengers just before the car flipped over.
According to Mr. Sarbah, the car was in good working order and his late boss wasn’t speeding when it happened.

After arriving on the site, National Ambulance Service personnel took the deceased’s body to the mortuary.
