A devastating accident occurred yesterday on the Accra-Kumasi highway near the Pacific Filling Station, a few meters from Bunso Junction.
A fuel tanker lost its brakes and collided with a taxi, causing an explosion that burned the taxi driver to death.

Two passengers in the taxi managed to escape, as did the driver of the fuel tanker.
In the video, the Ghana National Fire Service were seen rushing to the scene, and later tried putting out the fire from the explosion.
No further update has since been provided by the Fire Service and security officials.
